These labyrinth seals even effective with highly abrasive products and also when there is a differential pressure.

What is rotary airclock valve? How does it work?

Rotary airclock valve is the valve used to control or monitor flow of the materials from one port to another while keeping better airlock or seal between them.

Rotary airlock valves are designing with cast iron body which consists of an internal rotating rotor, a drive package, an inlet and outlet for entering and existing materials from the valve. A rotor is assembled with 6 metal blades and vanes that are attached to the shaft are rotating while feeding or metering operation. The gap between the rotor vanes develops pockets that receive material at the inlet port and exits at outlet port, as the rotor rotates. Airlock system is given for transferring the materials from inlet to outlet with preventing airflow through it.

ROTECH QUICK CLEANING VALVES ( RQC SERIES )

Rotary Valve for Metering, Feeding and Airlock Applications Rotech (RQC) Series Rotary Airlock was designed specifically for applications where quick cleaning or frequent removal of the rotary valve internals is necessary. The RQT permits safe, tool-less removal of the rotor and end plate as one single piece. This eliminates the often time-consuming step of “gapping” the rotor during reassembly for quick and easy operation. Additionally, there are no guide rails that require extra maintenance.
Other features of the Quick-Take-Apart Series include eight-blade rotors, available square sizes of 6, 8, 10 or 12 inches, cast iron or stainless steel construction, and direct drive gear-motors available in 9, 15 or 23 RPM.
